Website Design
A website that earns its keep
Custom builds starting at $2,000
Your website is the hardest-working employee you have. It’s open 24/7, it’s the first impression for nearly every new customer, and it’s where the decision to call you (or close the tab) gets made. It deserves more than a fiverr template.
I build custom websites for small businesses and nonprofits that need a site to actually do their job: bring in leads, book appointments, sell products, or tell a story that closes the sale before the first phone call.
What You Get
Every website build includes:
- Custom design tailored to your brand
- Professionally written copy for every page (no “Lorem ipsum,” no AI sludge)
- Mobile-first build because more than half your visitors are on a phone
- SEO foundations from proper structure, fast load times, clean code Google can read
- Analytics setup so you can see what’s working from day one
- Training so you can update content yourself without calling me every time
- 30 days of post-launch support to fix anything that surfaces after go-live
What it costs
| Project type | Starting at |
|---|---|
| Standard small business site (4–8 pages) | $2,000 – $4,000 |
| Larger site with custom features | $5,000+ |
Final pricing depends on scope; number of pages, custom functionality, e-commerce, integrations. You’ll get a fixed quote before any work starts. No hourly billing, no surprise invoices.
How a Build Works
- Discovery call. Free, 30 minutes. We talk through your business, your customers, and what the site needs to do.
- Proposal. Fixed price, clear timeline, clear deliverables. No mystery.
- Brand Voice. We work together to get a strong understanding of your brand voice to ensure your messaging lands with your audience
- Content. We write the content and optimize it for you to read and approve
- Design. I share design directions early so we’re aligned before development starts. No five-week reveals that miss the mark.
- Build. My team builds; I oversee every step and stay your single point of contact.
- Review and revise. You see the site in progress, not just at the end. Feedback gets incorporated as we go.
- Launch. I handle the technical side, hosting, domain, SSL, redirects, etc. from the old site.
- Training and handoff. You leave knowing how to use it.
Most builds take 6-12 weeks depending on scope.
Ongoing care (optional)
Websites need maintenance. Plugins update, hosting changes, security patches matter, and broken things break business.
Maintenance plans include hosting management, regular updates, security monitoring, backups, and small content edits each month. Starts at $100/month. Optional but recommended. Clients on maintenance plans don’t get the 2 a.m. “the site is down” calls.
Branding Work
I’m not a full-service brand agency, but for clients who need a simple logo or visual refresh as part of their build, I handle it in-house. For bigger brand projects, I’ll refer you to someone who specializes.
Best For
- Small businesses with an outdated site (or no site) ready to invest in doing it right
- Nonprofits that need a site to drive donations, volunteers, or program signups
- Owners who want to understand their site, not just be handed a black box
Not the Right fit for
- DIY-only budgets — Wix and Squarespace exist for a reason; use them if that’s where you are
- Anyone wanting the cheapest possible option
- Projects requiring complex web apps or SaaS-level engineering
Questions You Might Have
Can I update the site myself after launch?
Yes. I build on platforms you can manage yourself, and you’ll get training. If you’d rather not touch it, the maintenance plan covers routine edits.
Do I own the site when it's done?
Yes. Full ownership; domain, hosting credentials, files, everything. No hostage situations.
What platform do you build on?
WordPress. This allows you to have full control to expand the site in any direction you want, allows you the best integration options, and ensures you will never be taken advantage of by a website admin.
What if I need changes after the 30-day support window?
Small things, no charge. Larger changes get scoped and quoted. Or, the maintenance plan covers ongoing edits.
How fast can you start?
Usually, within 1–3 weeks of signing. I cap how many builds I run at once so each one gets real attention.
Ready to talk about your site?
Free 30-minute call. I’ll look at what you have (or don’t have), tell you honestly what I think, and you’ll leave the call with a clearer picture either way.
